My Muse is honored to invest in the effort of Latinitas by sponsoring the My Muse-Business Chica New Venture Competition as part of the 2015 Business Chica Conference in El Paso, TX. The Business Chica conference is an annual event focused on encouraging Latina girls to discover their entrepreneurial spirit, to learn about careers in the business sector and to prepare as the leaders of the 21st Century. Conference participants aged 10-17 will connect with female business leaders as they develop business skills, receive financial literacy training, learn about entrepreneurship and foster work-readiness skills. Throughout, girls will be working in teams to develop their own entrepreneur venture ideas, create a business plan and design their own marketing campaign. Prize money will be awarded to team on the basis of the "strength, creativity, feasibility and virtue" of pitched business plans.

Since 2002, Latinitas has stood out for its mission to empower young Latinas through media and technology to address the critical state of Latina girls today. Their landmark publication, Latinitas Magazine, has been recognized as the first of its kind to serve as training ground for young Latina girls developing bilingual journalistic voices for mass media. Latinitas's programming has expanded over the last decade beyond media and technology outreach, to prepare their young Latina girls for personal and academic success through leadership training and mentorship. Their programs include Club Latinitas, Teen Reporters Program, Tech Media Internships,  and Summer Camps such as Tech Savvy Chica, Hollywood Camp, Multimedia Arts Camp, and Latinitas Camp that teaches girls to produce original multimedia arts projects and master techniques in photography, writing, design, radio production and filmmaking.
